It’s very obvious to underestimate mesh wifi system if you have never heard of it or experienced it personally. If you live in a big house with lots of room and curse your router for not providing range to each corner of your house then you surely look out for a high-quality mesh system.

Here are three of our recommendations which can solve your problem.

  1. Google Wifi– This can cover an area up to 4,500 sq ft. It provides seamless Wi-Fi coverage in each spot, thus, eliminating remote zones.

It replaces your existing router and it is compatible with all major ISPs.

You get three wifi points, each covering an area of 1,500 sq ft. These wifi points are synchronized with each other and you can use more than 3 as per the need. Google has made a user friendly app which lets you do all this in some simple steps. It’s not sophisticated or complex that it seems.

It is another complete home coverage solution provided by AmpliFi. Operating on dual ban 802.11ac wave 2 wifi standard, this wifi system can deliver speed up to 5.2 gigabits.

Simple setup and real time status can be checked on AmpliFi app. Though, it is somewhat expensive than other mesh system available in the market. The cost of AmliFi High Density Home Wi-Fi system is 328$.

Samsung Connect Home

Samsung don’t want to lag behind in this field of technology. Maybe that’s the reason this year they introduced Connect Home. In this mesh system, there are 3 units. One unit will be connected to your modem and other 2 will act as a wifi range extender. Samsung has released Connect Home to rival Google Wi-Fi and Eero.

Setup of Connect home is done by app like other system. If you have many smart home appliances of Samsung, then buying a Connect Home would be a smart decision.

For example, if you own a Samsung Smart washer, smart television or smart fridge then you can connect all these devices to the network.

The Connect Home supports Z-wave and Zigbee standards and will also work with third party products.

It supports 802.11a/b/g/n/ac. Like other mesh system, the 3 units of Connect home can serve a 4,500 sq ft area.

What is Mesh Wi-Fi System?

This kind of wifi system is getting popularity in recent time. They are designed to provide seamless wireless coverage and made up of several components. The main router is connected directly to modem and other networking components/modules/nodes are mounted throughout the home. All the modules are part of a single wireless network and therefore they all share same SSID (Network Name) and password.

One may ask what’s the difference between a wifi range extender and a mesh system. Well, in range extender, there is one-to-one communication with the router, but in case of mesh system, all nodes are communicating with each other as well as with router. The result is that the nodes farthest from the router successfully provide a strong Wi-Fi signal.
